Knowledge

Having knowledge of physical activity that is important to health and well-being is part of physical literacy. While we do not include an assessment of a child’s knowledge in the PrePLAy items, we include it here to emphasize the importance of including physical activities in the classroom so children learn their value. If a child does not value physical activity, then he/she will choose other activities instead (e.g. sedentary activities like using computers or tablets to play games).
